Prestashop Has Launched v1.4.6 in Compliance with Canadian Regulations
Prestashop has announced the release of v1.4.6 open source eCommerce solution which now supports all Canadian e-commerce requirements. Prestashop has more than 105,000 online stores worldwide. The development and improvement of the various features in this version are aimed at satisfying both the merchants and development agencies so that PrestaShop users can enjoy more benefits of their Prestashop e-Store.
Additionally, the 275 objects related to Canadian tax system which characterize the different discharge functions of PrestaShop are now included. Now, Merchants will be able to enjoy the benefits of advanced features which will simplify the government's requirements, especially in Prince Edward Island and Quebec.
Apart from it, PrestaShop has also developed and integrated CanadaPost module that allows merchants to ship customer's orders through the postal service in Canada. In combination with UPS and FedEx, CanadaPost makes PrestaShop a complete and multi-functional e-commerce software which absolutely free.
The PrestaShop installation process has been enriched with many location data, which, among other things, allows the automatic configuration of taxes in each province of Canada.
According to Bruno Leveque, CEO and co-founder of PrestaShop Inc, the main aim of Prestashop is to develop its network in Canada and to satisfy all users of the e-commerce. With these efforts, they will be able to give a steady attention to merchants and various web agencies including independent developers.
Prestashop has also plannerd community events to be held throughout the year 2012, in Quebec and Canada.
