Magento Commerce has announced the Magento Preview Version CE 1.7.0.0-alpha1.
Since it is a preview version, it is recommended NOT to use in production environment. This new release of Magento is available for upgrade via Connect Manager and SVN
The new features introduced in Preview Version CE 1.7.0.0 are as follows:
- Fresh and enhanced layered navigation price bucket algorithm
- In some of the forms, Captcha functionality has been added.
- Customer groups based base prices
- Auto generated multiple coupon codes for a price rule
- System backup and rollback functionality
- VAT ID Validation
- DHL Europe Support
- Indexers refactoring
- Redesigned Mobile theme etc.
